The Role >

This is a Senior Osteopath role with one of Melbourne’s leading multidisciplinary and sports injury clinics.

 

In this role you will be working within a team that has a 23-year history of delivering health services that go beyond the industry benchmark.  You will be given the opportunity to lead, inspire and progress your ideas with the directive to initiate and grow new programmes.

 

In addition to a clinical load, this role also offers a unique opportunity to serve as a Osteopathy Clinical Mentor.  Collaborating with fellow CSSM senior practitioners to support the professional growth of the participants in our graduate program and contributing to our reputation for clinical excellence.

The role is a pivotal clinical and leadership role and reports to the Practice Principal.

 

The key responsibilities within this role include –

  • Clinical Excellence: Provide comprehensive osteopathic assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to a diverse patient population, including athletes, individuals with acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation clients.
  • Mentorship & Supervision: Mentor and supervise junior osteopaths and allied health practitioners, offering guidance, clinical education, and feedback to enhance their skills, confidence, and professional growth.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the physiotherapy, podiatriy, myotherapy teams within the clinic but also our external network of sports physicians, surgeons and specialists to deliver integrated patient care.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in clinical audits, research initiatives, and the development of evidence-based protocols to uphold high standards of care.
  • Professional Development: Lead and organise regular clinical in-services, workshops, and peer review sessions for the osteopathic team.
  • Practice Leadership: Support the management team in implementing clinic policies, contributing to strategic planning, and implementation throughout the clinic.

    • Current AHPRA registration.

    • Be a patient focused practitioner that goes the extra mile for your patients.  A practitioner that knows how to add maximum value for your patients and leverages this to sustain a busy caseload.
    • Delivering a can do attitude and the ability to get stuff done.
    • Experience in Pilates and Exercise Rehabilitation (or a desire to learn) would also be highly valued – but not essential.
